JERMAR Electric was incorporated in April of 1986 in the State of Florida and proudly serves the Cape Coral, Fort Myers, North Fort Myers, Estero, Bonita Springs, Lehigh Acres areas and beyond! We are a Certified Electrical Contractor offering both Residential and Commercial electrical services and we are both Licensed and Insured. Jerry L. Martin, president and license holder, hails from Highland, Indiana. In 1970 his father retired and the family relocated to Lee County, Florida. Jerry attended Ft Myers Middle School and is a 1977 graduate of Ft Myers High School. Soon after graduation from high school Jerry mad the decision to follow his uncles in the electrical field.

In 1982, after 5 years in the electrical trade, Jerry became a licensed journeyman electrician and earned his master electrician’s license in 1986. It was at this time that he made the decision to start his own company.

Over the years, Jerry has enjoyed supporting youth athletics in Lee County. He has coached youth soccer within the Cape Coral Soccer Association and youth basketball thru the Youth Basketball Association of Lee County (YBA). He also supports Bishop Verot High School and Bishop Verot Athletics.

Debbie Martin, secretary/treasurer is a transplant from Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Like most longtime Floridians her family relocated to Lee County, Florida in 1972 as part of a job transfer. Debbie attended St Michael Lutheran School thru middle school and then attended Cypress Lake High School for two years before transferring to Ft Myers High School. In 1979 she graduated from Ft Myers High School and began her college studies at Edison Community College (NKA Edison State College) where she earned her AA degree in 1981. In 1987 Debbie returned to college and received a BS degree in Finance from the University of South Florida in 1990. Over the years Debbie has volunteered at Good Shepherd Lutheran School and Bishop Verot High School.

Jerry and Debbie met in 1980 and were married in 1982. In 1984 they had their only child, Nick. Nick is a 2003 graduate of Bishop Verot High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Florida Rinker School of Building Construction Management.

Both Jerry and Debbie are happy to offer their electrical services to the Southwest FL community. They take great pride in each and every job and make sure that every detail is in order every time.
